More often than not, celebrities are role models of the society.Fans of Taiwanese singer-actress Ella Chen had always been the ones who show support through their actions. For Ella’s past year’s birthday, the fan club placed advertisements at the Taipei Main Station and on buses to wish her a happy birthday.Recently, in conjunction with the Jiangxi government, one of Ella’s fan club ‘Royalty’ rallied and raised NT$2,300,000 (approximately S$100,000) to build a ‘Ella Chen Hope Elementary School’ in the province.The school reportedly has an area of 3,085.5 square metres, and construction of the school is estimated to complete early this year. At least 260 children would have a chance to study once the school is ready.Ella exclaimed “thank god”, when she got wind of the news.“When we did our promotions in China previously, they (Ella’s fans) would write letters to tell me how the school was coming along. I’m touched to know that the construction of the school has finally begun. I feel that hard work these years are worth it,” expressed the S.H.E member.To that, her fans replied, “Ella, you’re the one who moved us with your love. Ella Chen Hope Elementary School is a continuation of our love for you.”

Ella: I feel if she really come out to meet everyone you can know how much courage she has and how brave she is. Life is like that, there are a lot of things you must face and I feel that she is a really brave SHERO.

Selina has been working really hard for three months in hope to go home. Ren Ba has been to the hospital every single day. Last but not least, Selina and Ah Zhong’s marriage will be held in April.

There were recent talks that Selina, who was injured while filming an explosion scene last year, has plans to make a public appearance just before the lunar new year. In response to this, fellow S.H.E member, Ella, said if Selina has decided to do so, it would signify that she is fully prepared and courageous to face what may lie ahead, and Ella would definitely give Selina her utmost support.

In October 2010, Selina was injured while filming an explosion scene for a drama in Shanghai. As a result of the accident, 54% of her body suffered severe burns. After undergoing 3 months of treatment, her condition has already stabilized. Selina’s parents also confirmed through the media that she would return home to celebrate the lunar new year, and has plans to express her appreciation to the public for their concern during this period.

Selina’s close sister, Ella, replied that she is unsure of the details for the probable press conference. However she believes that so long as Selina is mentally and psychologically prepared, she would face everyone with courage. Being her close friends, Ella and Hebe will also be by her side forever. Ella added, “I feel that Lao Po (wife aka Selina) is very positive and optimistic. If she is ready to make an appearance before everyone, you can imagine how much courage that would take, and how brave she really is! Life is just like that. You would eventually have to face what comes. I truly feel that she is a courageous Shero. By being able to stand before everyone, it would mean that she is really ready. As to whether I will be worry for her? I will not be unduly worry. Because we will always be by her side, walking with her through this and the future. No matter what obstacles or challenges lie ahead, we will always be with her. Thus, I will not be unduly worry.”

Meanwhile Selina’s fiancé, Zhang Cheng Zhong, has also shared on her recovery progress via the internet. He said that Selina’s facial injuries are recovering better than expected and her hair has also re-grown. Although the scars on Selina’s body may take a longer time to fade, and she might have to endure stares from others; the best approach is really to face the present and future in a composed manner.

Female group S.H.E’s member, Ella, attended the [Global Chinese Music Awards] press conference today. When asked by the media on the news regarding Selina’s intended public appearance, Ella even stifled momentarily and shared, “Plans are in the pipeline.”

The [Global Chinese Music Award], jointly organized by Hit FM and MusicRadio, held its press conference this afternoon. Singers Ella, JJ Lin, Wilber Pan and others graced the occasion and sent their well wishes.

In response to media’s queries on recent talks about Selina being discharged from the hospital, Ella shared, “The lunar new year is approaching, one will definitely wish to spend time with your loved ones. By being able to stand before everyone, it would mean that she is really ready. Although I will be concerned, I will not be unduly worry. There will, of course, be situations and things we would have to face nonetheless. And the courage to face all these will only mean that Selina is a true SHERO.”

When probed by media if Selina would hold a press conference, Ella clarified, “I am unsure. But should there one, the recording company would state so.”

When sharing on Selina’s current condition, Ella revealed, “Selina is a lot more resilient and brave than many others would imagine her to be. Her progress of recovery is also better than what the doctors have predicted.” However Ella has not forgotten to remind everyone to please give Selina more privacy and space in meantime too.

Jerry Yan Will Appear on Hunan TV F4 Reunion Unsuccessful

Jerry Yan and F4 have been reportedly invited to appear on CCTV Spring Gala and New Year’s Program but none of the deals has materialized. It is said now t…hat Jerry Yan will appear on Hunan TV’s Spring Festival program alone. Jerry’s agency has confirmed that the invitation has been received and scheduling is in progress. The audience of the program is estimated at 200 million.

It is more feasible to schedule Jerry Yan individually than F4 as a group. Jerry’s appearance on [Happy Camp] of Hunan TV on New Year’s Day has received great response. The latest rumor has it that Jerry will possibly appear on Hunan TV’s Spring Festival program which will air ahead of CCTV’s Spring Gala on Jan. 27, 2011.

The rumor also indicates that Jerry will be accompanied by a secret guest. Ella Chen who partnered with him in [Down with Love] is said to be the guest. Jerry’s agency has confirmed the invitation and stated that the details are still being worked out. However there was no mention about Ella being the guest.

[Down with Love] has been enjoying great ratings in Japan. To prepare for a special TV program, a Japanese production team has been shooting a photo album of the main cast in Taiwan. Jerry Yan and Ella Chen are so happy to see each other on the set and have not been able to stop chatting.

On the day of shooting, Jerry worked outside in the unseasonably cold weather. Ella joined the shooting in the afternoon and her warm greeting of “Hsu-Hsu” (Jerry’s Chinese name) cheered up Jerry. Jerry has also applauded her miniskirt outfit as being “sexy”.

The duo was so busy chatting that they sometimes forgot to pay attention to the camera. Ella commented “sorry, we are enjoying the conversation so much!” At one point the photographer wanted to have the duo pose apart, Ella complained “I know that you just want to separate us!” The comment made Jerry laugh with a blush.

Ella teased Jerry from time to time and Jerry said “I feel that I’m being treated as a girl.” Ella also presented Jerry a piece of cake as a belated birthday gift.

Jerry and Ella became friends during the shooting of [Down with Love]. However the two hardly have time to meet up due to their busy schedules. Ella said “we care about each other very much although we don’t see each other that often.” Jerry also commented that the duo went to dinner when Ella was taking classes earlier in the U.S.

When asked about their favorite personal treasure, Ella held the cross that she was wearing and said “I got this blessed in the church when I was in the U.S. I use it everyday when praying for Selina’s recovery. This is the most important treasure for me now.

Jerry was very touched by Ella’s comment. He said that he treasured his friends the most, including Ella. He said that he has changed a lot after working with Ella in [Down with Love]. To him, Ella is a very important friend.
